It's snowing, and though the stretch of street we live on is level there's very short, very steep bits going either up or down to get out of our immediate neighborhood. I've been searching for a couple of days, and found nothing.

What I'm looking for is HP fics that show how Harry learns to be a normal, kind human being (well, wizard) despite his upbringing. We see him grow UP in the books, but not sideways, IYKWIM. No epics, no romance.
