(1) We officially ended birthday season at Chez WxxxMurph this past weekend with a trip to Canobie Lake with several friends, followed by a sleepover at our house. Or, more, a not-much-sleepover; but, hey, it's once a year.( snip )

1. So far, January hasn't been awful. I think it being pretty consistently at least 20° F has helped; below that, I think my happy freezes.
