I know Hyfrydol well. We sing 'Love Divine, All Loves Excelling,' and also 'Come, Thou Long-expected Jesus,' to that tune. Since you're a Methodist, and IIRC they are hymns by Wesley, you're probably familar with them!

I have never heard of that hymn you quote before, but I must say, I like the lyrics immensely. *makes note* How appropriate for someone of your profession. :)

In the interest of full disclosure, I'm Church of Ireland (Anglican) by birth, I'm on my local parish's vestry at the moment, and I have a degree in theology. Obviously Ireland is mostly Roman Catholic so the major church in the village is Roman Catholic, but we also have a thriving Methodist church and community here.
