My first plateau...

I know it's normal. I'm at about 3 months and everyone says it happens then, but I stepped on the scale this morning and almost cried when I saw that the number hadn't changed. I know I shouldn't beat myslef up. I'm still doing things right. I'm still taking my vitamins and eating well and getting in most of my water. I'm still getting in some ( Read more... )

I'm doing the same things I have been. Getting in my protein and vitamins, not making my water and not exercising enough. I am trying to up the water and the exercise so hopefully next week I will see a change.

OMG I SO know exactly how you feel. My entire fourth month was a plateau. I was so scared that I was a failure. I used to read posts from those freaking out that they were on a plateau and think "Silly! It's just a plateau, your body has to adjust and regain composure after surgery, major weight loss, and a whole new diet." Well I'll be damned, there I was freaking out and wanting every reassurance I could get!

I didn't think about the fact that I hadn't ever plateaued before that, nor did I think about the fact that I'd just kicked my excersize routine into high gear with a trainer... There were lots of GOOD reasons I wasn't moving the numbers on the scale, even though things were still fitting better.

You'll get through this, and it WILL come off again. Talk with the doc, maybe up your protein, make sure all your supplements are taken, change up the excersize routine. There are lots of things to kick you off that plateau :)

I hit my first plateau 4 weeks after my surgery, right as I started ramping my excersize up. It lasted 4 weeks and FINALLY the scale moved and as of Friday I am officially under 300 lbs!

Everyones right, if it doesnt last a month its not a plateau and also don't stress it b/c there's nothing you can do about it. I know that totally sounds frustrating but keep the faith and stay strong and it will pass.

Congrats!

It is scary though to have seen it drop every week then nothing.
