I'm preaching to the choir, I know

Let me explain something. It's not an exaggeration that our sources are unstable (even if the situation is better than it used to be a year or two ago). Just look at what happened with Shinikare. Even with the other shows like Hamakisu and Ougon Densetsu and Toshokan that you can find on D-Addicts - do you see the little "优酷" logo that's on the ( Read more... )

I didn't see it as preachy. XD It was informative for me! To what extent, though? Like, for the reupload/repost.. Does that mean the uploader doesn't want it shared once the links are down? I just want to be sure so I don't mess up!

Oooh, are you going somewhere for vacation? 8D

Thanks a lot for the explanations!
And I'm really happy to see that you're still working at Shinikare, 'cause I'm waiting for your subs XD
But that all the time you need, I'm just happy that you won't drop the 'project' *__*
Thanks!!!

Definitely not preachy! This is need-to-know information and I'm glad I know now. 'Specially those terms. I'm not a member of Weibo or ClubBox (and probably won't ever be) but if I ever do join I would need to know this. Thank you!

I'm actually more of a selfish person in that I would point others in the right direction rather than upload other people's files without their permission. It kind of does annoy me to see a post of someone saying not to share their files and coming across those same files on multiple sites; it's not my file so I shouldn't be the one upset by it but I just can't believe some people's nerve. Is it so hard to link the original post instead? I would get it if the original files were hard to get to, hidden by passwords, but most of them aren't at all. -- Sorry for the mini-rant, I'm just stating that I agree with your post.

I prefer re-uploading for others because 1. there's usually more than one person who wants stuff from me and 2. sometimes people don't know the rules of the OP when I link them. likeee it's one thing to give out an English source to English-speaking fans, and another to give out a Chinese source to non-Chinese speaking people who can't understand what the source is saying each time they post, you know?

Plus for me it depends on who I give things to. The reason I made this post is actually because people had been linking certain weibo sources on public blogs/anonymous memes, which leads to a whole bunch of people who don't know the rules or possibly don't even have the decency to follow the rules when they do know it... or worse, lack common sense to not be blasting the files all over youtube, etc.

pgycjk,
actually baidu kmf bar depends on which bar you goes to. Not all kisumai bar are active. Also because weibo stuff can't anyhow post,
all kisumai bar they have rules not to anyhow post weibo stuff without permission. In my opionion, baidu bar mainly only tama and taipi bar are the most active. But because tama baidu bar, they have permission long term to post some weibo owner stuff, so they can post directly without asking the owner again, so tama's online video are quick there. But not all the baidu kisumai bar have sought permission from those particular weibo owners, so people don't dare repost anyhow. Taipi's chinese translations are quick at taipi's baidu bar. Resulting in some baidu bar is quick in having info, some bar is slow or almost nothing at all.
