[The solid walls and thick ceilings are a bit much for someone unused to them; even windows aren't much help, especially when they're glazed

[And then he looks up and blinks: not a human, like about everyone else he's met around here. Elf, maybe? Not that he's ever seen one, but there were all those old stories...
... and there is something else not right here, something just subtly off about him. Something that maybe smells a little bit like danger. He puts the booklet he's holding down and shifts his balance a little, just in case.]
[Strange. Vol'jin didn't seem to remember him. Then again, Kurt WAS just one person out of a lot, and even a Death Knight didn't stand out of hte crowd much anymore.]
My name's Kurtarathus. I swung by to see you every so often, but I don't think I ever formally introduced myself.
[He's about to mark Kurt off as pretty much just nuts when something tickles at the back of his mind, less than half-remembered, something about... and it's gone.]
[Katsura would have laughed right about then, but she's just gotten a sense of the troll's age, close-up--and this is not the Vol'jin she knows from Orgrimmar. She doesn't quite falter, but she does change what she was about to say.]
I suppose it's a human thing. Are you settling in well, then?
There are. However, they don't seem to have the mentality that you and I should be slaughtered simply because we're here. I've decided to take advantage of that.
[Not that that might mean anything when she returned to Azeroth.]
If there is any way I can be of service, I am Katsura Sunarrow. [At which she offers a small bow.]
Beorc are those without fangs or claws. They call themselves "humans" here, I think. In the nations of Tellius, some call themselves human because they believe that others are not.
Where do you come from?
[Because there sure aren't any trolls in Tellius.]
From da Darkspear Islands... I be Vol'jin of da Darkspear Tribe.
[He's still thinking about the 'fangs and claws' bit, but hey - he's been told weirder things lately. It would be helpful if he'd heard of worgen, probably.]
Dere be no humans on da islands, but I heard dere be many north of where we lived before. Nothin' like dis place, though.
Just because they have them doesn't mean they enforce them. [Stands over his shoulder. She doesn't look anymore human than he does with her dark gray skin (tinted blue), with yellow eyes (one with seven pupils), and long candy corn-colored horns.]
[Percy stands up straight as he walks by, opting for a pompous exterior and attitude that isn't really missed. He stares curiously at Vol'jin, surprised by his features and desperate to question them. Instead he refrains and provides his best instructor response.]
It is a school after all, would you expect anything different? Students must adhere to rules or else the establishment would crumble quite easily!
[The stare isn't so unusual; he's gotten more than a few looks since he arrived, but the attitude - that's different. A little funny, but different.]
Dere ain't so many rules where I come from... but dere be no schools.
[He fiddles with the papers in his hands a bit, then sets them down. He's pretty sure Percy's a human, so he's got some questions, too...] Ya humans all like dese classes so much?
We learn or we be dead. [Yes, this is a smile, but it's rather... fangy. Pointy teeth to go with those tusks.] My papa taught me some tings, I be learnin' some others alone.
[And he taps on the coursebook he just put down next to himself to answer that one... and sorry, Percy, but he hasn't read enough of his papers yet to be able to tell the difference between instructor and student at first sight, and he sure doesn't know the fine points of human ages.] Ya study here too?

[Have a grin from a dead elf! He's so relieved to see you you don't even know.]

Where I come from, you learn by doing, not by listening. But beorc do like rules.

[Yeah, those are interesting ears. Probably not a human thing. Maybe? At least he hasn't seen any other humans with them.]
