Yeah, yeah. You've got it worse than us.

1. Snow day! We only got a dusting of snow, sleet, and rain, but most of it fell while the temps were slightly above 32. Tomorrow morning's temp is supposed to be 15, and that combined with the slush on hilly roads will cause some treacherous school bus routes. I'm certainly not complaining! Yes, we're overreacting compared to other places that ( Read more... )

*pouts* So that means no one will actually show up at work tomorrow but I suppose I still should trudge up there.

Hee... you can join us in moaning about snow! We rarely get any (here in the pampered south of England) so now we've had a couple of weeks worth, our grit is running out, we have major school closures, there are BBC Severe Weather!!! Alerts...

And people who regularly get feet of snow are sneering at us. *sigh*

I spent a year in London waaaaaay back when, and I remember being quite surprised by how the temperature got down to 5-7 degrees celsius around the first of November, then stayed that way nonstop until March. It would occasionally rain, and once we got a few barely-there snow flurries, but still. The same thing every day. ;) Quite a change from what I'm accustomed to. So yes, I can imagine that your snow would freak everyone out! (And this was a long time ago, so my memory might be faulty. *g*)

Re: That T-mobile commercial. What I hate is that the woman finds it necessary to say "an arm and a leg" after saying "one of these and one of these." Who exactly needed clarification there?!?

OMG I know. It wouldn't make me nearly so insane if she didn't clarify that.

Exactly! It would've been corny in a fun way if she'd just held up the arm and a leg, but clarifying it? Sheesh.

Yay for snow days! And a big ROLL TIDE to you, my friend! (although I do feel so bad for Colt McCoy-- such a standup kid. I hope everything's ok)

Good luck on the writing! I suck a PB's and such b/c the muse never wants to cooperate when it HAS too. But I know you will create fantastical snippets of art! : D

Stay warm. : )

I was quite pleased that Bama won! Though I also felt bad for McCoy -- how awful to get knocked out three minutes into the biggest game of your career! He showed a lot of character in his postgame interviews.

Good writing mojo to you as well!
