[Assume this is written at a sane hour of the day, but of course it's there if characters 'backtrack' through the entries.]

[Written | Dictated]Hello, Luceti. It's been quite an eventful few weeks, and a trying time for most of us, but it seems that in our steady return to what passes for normalcy, we also have a return to cycles ( Read more... )

I have a question about the school, if you do not mind.

I'm open to questions, as I said. What is it that you would like to know?

There is a young girl in my care. I believe it may do her well to attend, but she is [...] unique.

It wouldn't be the first time I've taught unique students. Is there anything I should be aware of?

Been a long time since I've heard one of these messages, Professor.

...Thanks for putting that thing about the Flower Shop in there. Hopefully Flonne will return soon. I don't think she'd want her flowers to wilt before she does.

I had been already looking after it with a few others, but I was hoping that someone more readily available would be able to help out as well...

She's been gone quite a while, hasn't she? Hm...

I really appreciate that you've been helping out with that. I know she does too.

It's been a couple of months now... what in the Netherworld could they want her for?

I honestly don't know. It just could be a series of tests... I can think of some others who have been missing for long periods of time as well. And to think of what's gone on in that time.

How many children live in that building now?

Five, currently. It never was that large of a number... some of the others have been sent home, and there aren't really that many under the age of sixteen in the village who don't already have an adult looking after them--or are mature enough to fend for themselves.

Do you think it might be better to find them a house, then, instead of a building?

Three of them were already living in a house. I asked them to move to the building, as well as the others. It's better in the long run.

[Albert has set up at the dining room table, making use of the expansive table space to set up several notes. As always when he (uncommonly) makes use of the dining room table, he has a writing board underneath any loose papers that he may need to write on, just so he won't scratch up the polished wood.

It's fairly idle work for now. New Feathers may be coming in, but things aren't so overwhelming that he needs to keep his journal open to listen to what is going on.]

[She makes her way through the sitting room, checking up on the plants along the way. Raine intended to continue onto the kitchen when she happened upon Albert and his set up in the dining room.

She tilts her head at his notes, her eyes moving to glance over one of the piles.] I think I can count the number of times we've used this dining room for eating on one hand.

[He tilts his head at Raine as she looks at his notes, making a sound of agreement.]

We don't use it often at all. It's been awhile since I've done much of anything in here.

[He takes a ruler, drawing out a rectangle and other boxes in a sheet of paper.]

It's a shame we don't really put it to more use, though I suppose it's just easier not to.

What are you working on?

Thanks for the update!

That reminds me, I ought to make my own announcement about the Welcome Center soon. I've been so busy getting it ready and dealing with specific newcomers from home, but it needs to be done.

It's no trouble. I can only hope it will be seen by everyone, but at the rate that new feathers are arriving, hopefully they will at least be directed toward the guide and the center. I can imagine it'll be even messier today with the weather.

Do you have enough help there?

I think for now, though if new feathers keep arriving -and I'm betting they will- I'll ask for more volunteers. Now that the building serves a purpose again, I'm hoping that will be an easy task.

If it rains, it pours. I don't doubt that there will be a lot more... after the few weeks we've had, it just seems like the next logical thing.

I hope so as well.
