For whatever reason I wasn't bothered by Kousaku's excessive hyperactivity in the first half of the episode - probably because I'm enjoying too much Kame's willingness to fully embrace the over-the-topness of the role. It's rather refreshing to see him act the dorky buffoon in this manner.
I'm more annoyed at the basic plot point, however, that Kousaku cannot control his appetite. Everyone is looking out for him and trying to keep him on the straight path and yet he's one beef and pork bowl away from disaster all the time. This aspect of the drama is already growing old for me, and it's only episode 3! I hope for a little more depth and characterization, but considering the genre, I don't imagine my hope will be fulfilled.
(kame) stupid is fun! glad it worked for you in this episode *giggles too* xDarcinmyskyFebruary 4 2008, 17:21:53 UTC
My favorite moment in the whole episode is when Kousaku advances on Yoshihiko with his "ferocious" face on.
*flails* That's my fav part too!!! I rewatched it a few times cuz it was so good! ♥
& I was very glad to get a deeper glimpse & understanding into Katsumi's behaviour. It all makes sense now & I thought the scene of him & his mother in the hospital was pitiful & sad. I think he is slowly being more honest with himself though & I can't wait to see more of what he will do with his new realization & honesty next episode :)
Starving Kousaku opening and closing his mouth like a fish is adorable. :)I totally agree- the look on his face with that mouth motion is so cute! He is adorable in so many parts- I've lost count! O_O xD

Every episode I think we're getting closer to the relationship and conflict between Katsumi and his mother - I'm curious to see how they develop it.
And you could be right about Meisa deliberately making Sister Angela cold to avoid leading Kousaku on, but honestly I'm not sure she's that sophisticated (Sister Angela, I mean). I have this feeling that Sister Angela is really quite naive about how to behave with men.
I much prefer Sister Angela when she is warmer and kinder! :)
After watching episode 4, I think you are right! She is naive when it comes to that & the feeling Kousaku invokes in her is very new & strange to her ('…my heart gets confused'). & maybe she is getting scared from that feeling because it's an unknown territory. I am not sure if choosing to act severe & colder helps block out those confused feelings for Sister Angela.
I much prefer Sister Angela when she is warmer and kinder! :)
Me too ^_^.
Anyway, I am enjoying the episodes so far & can’t wait to watch the next! I hope it’s the same for you as well. ^_^
