My tutorial, let me show you it

Over the past week and a half, I have cried, cursed, and lost sleep over a tutorial I made as a final project for one of my classes. Windows Movie Maker is made of so. much. fail. I already knew this, but had no other options readily accessible. Happily, CamStudio and Audacity are friendlier programs, but I had to hook up the audio and visual ( Read more... )

fandom love!, podfic, school: classes, school: finals, work: d.o., oh the cleverness of me!

That was a great tutorial and you're right, the audio quality was excellent. I actually found myself following the steps and thinking of all the things you can do with a search engine besides search. And you do have a lovely voice - I'd be honored to have you 'read' any of my fic. I'm still rather a novice to podfic, but now I'll be off to find all of yours.

And you should, since a good portion of the fic she's read is mine. *g*

That was a great tutorial! When I heard your voice, though, I kept waiting for you to mention John and Rodney.

You said you'd happily listen to me read a phone book. I think this is equivalent.

And indeed I am happily listening. ♥

Me: Thanks?
Hehe!

The tutorial was great. I don't doubt it was the best :)

Hey, this is great! I want to go root around through that database, now, and see if other places get so many mosaics of floods, or if San Marcos is just special like that.

Sometimes the scrolling around the page went a little quickly for my eyes and thus looked a bit jumpy to me (I run into the same problem when there are long&quick pans in movies, which make my eyes get confused and insist on focusing on static images for a while), but that was probably an effect of free software+older laptop (or my wonky eyes). The narration was fabulous! Whoever did you get to do your voice-over work? ;-)

Yay, thank you!

I'm not entirely happy with the jumpyness of the scrolling, either, but that's what the freeware does, so. I think there's some settings I could muck about with further, but this one's good enough. If I do any more, I'll try twiddling with the settings to see what happens (or maybe the new laptop I get eventually will be less jumpy!).

Whoever did you get to do your voice-over work?
I happen to know this awesome winkingstar chick, she's great for voice-overs!
