So I have nothing terribly epic to say about the latest episode of SPN, 4.08 Changing Channels, but I do have some thoughts that just need to get out.

There be spoilers ahead . . . )

The first half of the episode was my favorite in SPN history. Then, boom drama drama drama + bad acting. YAY. NOT.

I do have to say that if Eric keeps this up, season six is going to be a moot point. All the fans will either be dead or ex-fans.

It should be interesting to see who's still standing--and on what side of the line--come May.

I just wonder what characters won`t be angels by the time the season ends.

BOBBY FOR ARCH ANGEL `09!

The trickster is STILL the trickster, people! OMGWTHTOMATOPASTE.
Just because we know his name is "Bob" or "Stan" or freakin' "LugNut" doesn't really matter. He's still capable of doing the same things he was before. Now we just know why. Wanna go with Jesse into the life of Baywatch reruns? I'll wait.... mmmmaybe.

It WAS fabulous. I love love LOVE Knight Rider and Bosom Buddies and Perfect Strangers. BBs was the most homo show my parents didn't know I would watch religiously as a kid.

Well, okay, yeah, he is, but he's also a douchebag angel.

I was kind of hoping, when Cas said he was too powerful, that it was someone masquerading as the Trickster. I liked my Trickster uncomplicated and not really part of dragged kicking and screaming into the mytharc like that.

Honestly, I wanted it to be Zach playing the Trickster a la It's A Terrible Life: The Reawakening.

But like I said, this could be epic. As long as he stays cool and isn't TOTALLY douchebaggish.

KNIGHT RIDER! ZOMJ! I died when I realized Sam was in the car. HEEEEEE.

AND PERFECT STRANGERS! MY FAVORITE SORT OF TOTALLY GAY SHOW WHEN I DIDN'T ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT THAT MEANT.

Maybe I liked it because it was like adding a whole new level of douchebag to an already really douchebaggy character. And top of that, it seemed more feasible now that he could have a change of heart and actually get some kind of character redemption by allying with the boys if he was actually an angel all along (I mean, who's been messing with their heads all this time more than angels, right?). IDK, maybe I think about this stuff too much. Just... someone like him being "Loki" - when it was soooo easy to figure out, even in American Gods - it was just too obvious. That's what it is. I liked this twist because I didn't see it coming, *nods*, but I am like you and want him to not end up being a total douche. I don't think the straight-up Trickster would have been as believable if he just suddenly started helping... I mean comon he's a TRICKSTER. Even the Native American versions, when they'd try to do something right it would end up massively wrong. What am I yammering on and on about? *pops popcorns ( ... )

Yeah, I guess my worry when we found out he was an angel was that he WAS going to be too douchebaggy. I mean, Cas and Anna are pretty much the only ones who have avoided it so far, and they're both pretty low on the totem pole. Gabe, being so high up, could easily go the way of Raph and Zach and that it probably what scares me most. Though his look at the end there was pretty hope-inducing, so maybe . . .

Honestly, he reminds me a lot of Q from ST:TNG--or at least he did when he was just the Trickster. I'M JUST SO AFRAID HE'S GOING TO GO STUPID NOW. *FLAILS AND PANICKS*

HAHAHAHA OMJ I LOVE HOW EASILY THEY ADJUSTED TO SAM BEING THE CAR. Even if they'd had a lot of practice adjusting in the episode already. I, TOO, WENT A LITTLE NUTS AND SORT OF SPEECHLESS. I THINK I SCARED THE CATS WITH THE NOISES I WAS MAKING. :D

Oh, good, so I'm not the only one going insane trying to figure that out? IT'S SO FAMILIAR. I will poke around and see if I can figure it out. Just as soon as I can tear my gaze away from the lovely of the boys dancing ( ... )
