( A numerical assessment of my day )

You are all very welcome to come by Rick's on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I had an excellent first day and it's a super chill and easy job. I know how to scoop, make milk shakes, freezes and sodas AND work the register. Come by and say hello!

Unfortunately, there will be no free ice cream.

So I'm starting my job at Rick's tomorrow. I'll also be working on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the afternoon (evening for Sunday). You're welcome to come by and visit me, but maybe not tomorrow. I'll probably be floundering and flustered.

Not really. But I'll admit that you're pretty far gone when, noticing that it's getting too dark to see clearly inside, your first thought is "Someday I'll install clapper lights in my house. Then I won't have to get up."

So it turns out I'm NOT taking the permit test today. Why? Because my mom couldn't figure out what "must be enrolled in a drivers training program" meant. I had even TOLD her that I needed to be enrolled in driving school before I could take the test. It was written on multiple sheets of paper. UCSB was a breath of hot and not-quite-fresh SoCal air after U of O, but I had a very good time anyway. I learned a lot about what I really want in a University as well as several interesting bits of trivia.

One giant, procrastinated, overdue leap for my driving career. I actually passed the online driving school test! 80% baby! That's five percent more than I needed.
