When I first got this job, I was carrying a backpack and a purse most days.  In the interest of streamlining, and not whacking people on the bus with my backpack, I've switched to a messenger bag that can combine both purse and backpack functions.

I posted a few days ago about my tankini top dying on me at the Y.  Luckily I had another suit in reserve, which I tried out on Wednesday and again yesterday.

Here's what I want from a bathing suit.  It should be:

Chlorine resistant.
Made of smooth fabric that doesn't irritate my skin
Comfortable and stay in place when I'm swimming laps

I went swimming today for the first time in a couple weeks and discovered that my tankini top had succumbed to bathing suit rot. It was wearable, but I tossed it in the trash when I got out of the pool. Oddly enough, my shorts, which were bought at the same time and are made of the same material, are still fine. For the first time this year, we've joined a CSA.  We wanted to last year, but money was too tight for us to lay out the substantial chunks required all at once.  It is so nice not to be worrying about money this year.  I used to carry around a huge amount of anxiety about money that is just gone.
