Thanks to all my patient friends as I caught up with my photo meme. I hope everyone liked the pictures. There will be one for today, which is Day 84, but in the meantime, thoughts for the day

Could Sarah Palin possibly be any dumber? I'm terrified that so many people think she has something to offer (besides an opportunity for making jokes at her expense).
Her lack of knowledge (and pride in same) are staggeringly mind-numbing.
I hope there are enough people in this country who are just smart enough to realize the President should really KNOW WHAT HE/SHE IS DOING in the job...
(That part of me who still believes in this country prays that she actually gets the Republican nomination, because that part of me thinks there's no way in hell she'd actually win and thus assure Obama a second term. Then the sad, cynical part of me reminds me that's what I thought about Duhbya....)
It's been too many years since I've been to Disneyland (like. I've only been there once and have been to DW at least once a year from 1975 - 2004). silvrethorn and I amused/horrified cornerofmadness by knowing all the words to the Tiki Bird show and sang them before and after the show. XD
Palin was on something the other night when I was at Mom's and I begged her to change the channel. My brother's like, "What don't you like about her?"
"Everything!"
"You're gonna have to be more specific."
"Everything!"
He didn't like my answer but he's become a staunch Republican and hates Obama, so.
Disneyland was still pretty fresh in my mind since Barb and I went for our honeymoon in 2008. We went at Halloween time, though, so the Haunted Mansion was done up in "Nightmare Before Christmas," so we really missed the old one

"Down-home"ness aside, I don't understand this desire to have someone in office who doesn't know how to do the job. If you're hiring someone to DO something, usually the top requirement is that they know HOW.
I'd rather have a competent Republican in office I disagreed with constantly but who knew the job than have a sympathetic and useless Democrat. Unfortunately lately we can't seem to have much of anything.
For example, I never agreed much with McCain, but he used to be a very good senator so he used to get my vote (not lately, though).
I didn't reach that level of hotness until I reached my mid-40's, at which point suddenly guys of all ages were friending me on MySpace and telling me how stunning I was. I was all like "Where were you guys when I was single and YOUNG?"
No, I haven't heard any news today, I've been cleaning off the DVR! HOORAY! Maybe there IS still justice in this country!
I know, I had to read it six or seven times myself, and it STILL doesn't make sense (and it's even more convoluted than what she said about Katie Couric the other day, something about "the state of journalism today," only she said it in such a way that left one going "WHAT?!?!?").
Heh. I shall send you some fudge this season, but you must be careful with it, because it is, of course, 98% sugar. *g*
