Thanks to all my patient friends as I caught up with my photo meme. I hope everyone liked the pictures. There will be one for today, which is Day 84, but in the meantime, thoughts for the day

It's been too many years since I've been to Disneyland (like. I've only been there once and have been to DW at least once a year from 1975 - 2004). silvrethorn and I amused/horrified cornerofmadness by knowing all the words to the Tiki Bird show and sang them before and after the show. XD
Palin was on something the other night when I was at Mom's and I begged her to change the channel. My brother's like, "What don't you like about her?"
"Everything!"
"You're gonna have to be more specific."
"Everything!"
He didn't like my answer but he's become a staunch Republican and hates Obama, so.
Disneyland was still pretty fresh in my mind since Barb and I went for our honeymoon in 2008. We went at Halloween time, though, so the Haunted Mansion was done up in "Nightmare Before Christmas," so we really missed the old one

"Down-home"ness aside, I don't understand this desire to have someone in office who doesn't know how to do the job. If you're hiring someone to DO something, usually the top requirement is that they know HOW.
I'd rather have a competent Republican in office I disagreed with constantly but who knew the job than have a sympathetic and useless Democrat. Unfortunately lately we can't seem to have much of anything.
For example, I never agreed much with McCain, but he used to be a very good senator so he used to get my vote (not lately, though).
No, there are no Nice Things out there, though I like to see that Obama is trying to get something done. He did manage to save a local town with his policies, which is good to know.
I think he's doing as best he can, considering the walls that keep being thrown up against him. I mean, I'm not even 90% happy with him all the time, but he's doing a good job with what he got handed.
Yes, that's how I feel. I have to bite my tongue at work when the Republicans start up (they own the building I work out of - the campaign hq for the county is there and one of the new Senators has his HQ there as well), especially since the news station they play downstairs has nothing good to say, no matter what.
