I hit my inner Martha Stewart groove earlier this morning, so right now I'm roasting almonds and doing laundry. I'd be doing dishes too but that would block the oven and I'd burn the almonds and wouldn't be able to make the pie and...well, it'd be bad ( Read more... ) -

so today, I'm going to see how long I can make it without sugar. After my orange juice, that is. It might not be very long. And I'm slightly cheating...I'm going to go pick up some Splenda for the day and the next time I decide to pull this little stunt. -

So I went to the store this morning (as I am wont to do) and I saw that their canned pumpkin was on sale so now I have five cans of pumpkin and no clue what to do with it all but make pumpkin pie and

We planted a tree in Ian's memory in Cody Park on Friday. Pictures are here. It went well--the tree is just off of the playground, and the other nearby trees are all getting removed this winter, so it's kind of going to stand out for a while.
