Realisation

Yesterday I finally realised why I'd been stalling on chapter 24 and I'm not sure why it didn't occur to me earlier.  Why I was trying to write a chapter that's 90% gameplay based without referring to the pictures I already have I don't know.  Now that I've set up a ppt and have started organising my pictures and what text I already have I feel ( Read more... )

Trying to figure out pacing is probably the weirdest thing about constructing a chapter, for me. No one's going to complain if you have to make it two chapters, though :D Good luck getting it done by your Legaversary! April 27th's a while away so I'm sure you can do it.

Also, who are your three new residents? I don't recognize them.

Thanks, Marina :) Working out the pacing is hard though actually looking at the pictures makes things a bit easier. I should be giving myself enough time to get a chapter out for my legaversary and if it's done before I'll just have to think of something else to celebrate with :)

Those are Stéphane Fitzhugh (from Cait, though descended from Rhys of course), Julian Stark (from Lily) and Corvus Pleasant (from Jenn). After Erzulie's non-BC I had to import all three of them.

Yay for breaking through your writer's block! I find that arranging pictures I have first always helps me to write as well. I'm looking forward to seeing the next chapter!

Thanks, Pen. I just wish I had realised what the problem was sooner rather than stalling for a week.

I always feel better once I lay out my slides. Even though I always change things around while writing it's nice to be able to see what I do have.

*Waves* Hi Corvus!
