Realisation

Yesterday I finally realised why I'd been stalling on chapter 24 and I'm not sure why it didn't occur to me earlier.  Why I was trying to write a chapter that's 90% gameplay based without referring to the pictures I already have I don't know.  Now that I've set up a ppt and have started organising my pictures and what text I already have I feel much more inspired, and it's far clearer what I still need to do.

It's also much clearer that I'm trying to fit a lot into a single chapter and I'm considering splitting it into two completely separate chapters.  The first of those chapters is currently sitting at 44 slides either with pictures or writing (two of which have both) and that's just three incomplete scenes.  My aim is the 27th of April at the latest, as that's 5 years since I posted the first chapter to Boolprop.

Right now the second of those chapters might need to include things I haven't played yet, but it's hard to tell as there are large parts that just say 'University' in my notes so I'm not sure how long those parts will be.  I do know that they will be longer than I intended when I first planned the chapter thanks to Erzulie and her non-BC - I need to spend some time establishing her and Ella's characters so that when I introduce Steph things will make sense.  I also want to spend a little bit of time on Enrico and his friendship with Amber (Dibbler's daughter, Penny's little sister) as I plan on the pair living together after university and I don't want it to come out of nowhere.  Plus I still have Esk and Simon to sort out and, of course, there are Eric's antics to cover.

On a random final note, The Disc has three new residents:

legacy, writing, plans, discworlds, sims 2
