The final few sessions of my TESOL term have imposed upon me dramatic demands of my time. you should definitely apply to the philosophy program, it sounds like it would really suit you. my parents are teachers and beyond a few years as a ski instructor, i have never wanted to teach. maybe you could try it for a few months but definitely go for the philosophy program.

Being a ski instructor kind of sounds like fun! Well, skiing is fun, but teaching it probably isn't. Same kind of trap I'm in; I love linguistics (enough that I'm two-timing and philosophy is getting jealous!), but being an ESL teacher just ain't my game. I'm guessing ski instructing is kind of the same thing. You're up there on the mountain with skis strapped to your feet, but you've got to stand there and do nothing, telling people to make "pizza slices" with their skis rather, than doing any skiing yourself. But good thing you had your parents teachering to go by, to guide your own decision not to do it ( ... )
