Ships love meme

Last week I kicked off a companion love thread on loves_them_all and since that went well - close to 500 comments and everybody getting some appreciation - I thought it'd be fun to do the same thing with ships. How this works: a comment is posted to this with a pairing in the subject title. People respond to that comment with why they think that ship is or would be interesting, fic recs, comment fic, picspam, or random squee. This is organised slightly differently from the character version since it'd take forever and a day to cover every possible relationship, so I'll drop a dozen or so in the comments (which ones are determined by a complicated mix of 'what do lots of people like?' and 'who do I have an icon of?'): feel free to start new threads with a different pairing/threesome/moresome. No character or ship bashing, please, and remember: nothing is so bizarre or obscure that you won't find someone to agree with you on how awesome it is.
