You don't deserve to be treated that way, nobody does.

We all make mistakes and fly off the handle especially if it's at 1am :) I enjoy your stories and I hope you find inspiration to keep trying despite some people's immature behavior.

Thanks. I'm just down about the whole thing. Between the stupid of them and the stupid of me I feel the need for salty fries. With extra salt.

Yeah, I just usually don't make such big mistakes. Pissing off a whole fandom inadvertently has to be some sort of record. Well, no, this is the Internet, someone else has had to have done it before me. *perks up a little* I'm glad you enjoy them. I can stand some of them now. Oh, I'll continue on. I'm too stubborn to quit totally. Cut back and not post some stuff, probably. Finally take the time to type up the final parts to some things, work on the bigbang someone talked me into.

I tend to fail at people things too -- I always preferred my books and my dogs to social situations.

Don't let the critics get you down. The people who caps lock over an oops or have to tell you they don't like something have issues of their own. Just take comfort in the moral high ground and delete their messages. No one made them continue reading something that wasn't their thing.

And people sending you death threats !!!! Screw'em into a hole and put a sewer lid over them and don't think anything more about it.

It just never makes sense to me nothing social ever has. From the day that knowing math, but not how to spell meant being an outcast on the playground, I've not understood social situations.

It just seems like overreaction on everyones' part (mine included), but I never seen it happen to someone else so I have no comparison. I ask others about if this or that has ever happened to them and most of the time they've never had that whatever happen.

*shrug* It actually isn't new. I got a death threat between part two and three of Binding Forces. And another after the Picture Puzzles part with the fisting. It has just escalated and is accompanied by ways I should kill myself. *rolls eyes* It just got to me last night and today.

No one does well at 'people things' 100% of the time and NO ONE should be telling you to die, no matter what toe you stepped on.

I just feel like I never get it right. Actually the telling me to die caused me to overreact and that reaction is what stepped on toes. Thanks, though.

Um, I don't see how it's possible to 'overreact' to someone telling you to die. Period. So to those whose toes were stepped on... What's the weather like on their planet?

Woah, caps lock over lj-cuts? I don't you're the one missing something there. *hugs* And telling you to die? that's just... wrong, wrong in about a bajillion ways. I don't really know you well at all, but I don't care, please don't let them get to you. You're clearly better than them.

Yeah, that happened a while back. I fixed the code in about five minutes, but I had seven comments telling me to fix it and three for the story itself. :P Thus why I'm always willing to explain LJ-cuts to newbies.

I've gotten death messages off and on since I started, but in the last month it has gotten lots worse. Mostly go to hell for writing slash or I should kill myself for writing kink. That sort of thing. I just got a little pissy about it last night and posted something that wasn't nice regarding it.

Thanks. I don't think I am better because I caused hurt within a comm that I didn't even mean to harm with my reaction. I appreciate you thinking that though.

You know I'm pretty sure death threats are against the lj terms of service. You can ban or block these people. If they're anonymous I'm pretty sure you can contact lj about blocking IPs. Seriously. If they were sending you these letters through the mail it would be a federal crime! Do not put up with this. Please.

They've been jumping ID's on LJ and not actually threatening through that PM. I'm mostly getting the threats through IM as they ask to add me as a friend. I block them, of course. Gmail is sending most of the emails to spam because of the filtering I set up. I'm sure they'll quit eventually.

I don't know. I've been nitpicked more than most people I read since I started LJ. I'm thinking I some how look like an easy target? Eh. I don't talk to enough people RL for it to be that. Unless I pissed off a customer, but that'd be pretty far fetched. I'm all about not telling my RL where my fic is, or that I even write it. I wonder if maybe it isn't these guy that PM'd me through LJ about a year ago and wanted me to write something really kinky that wasn't my kink. When I pointed them to the right comm for that kink, they got pissy and broke off contact. *shrug* At least this blow up seems to have helped. I've not gotten anything today. :D
