Anyone for a smut short?

Hi everyone. Yes, I know you are all wanting some more of the stories I'm not updating fast enough. The thing is I've been researching the Amazon Kindle ebook-reader. How it works, if I could take my writing with me and mark things to fix on the go (which I can't do with my handheld because it bricked, or my smartphone because it has crappy battery ( Read more... )

No preferences? Like first time or established relationship? House is a Watcher or having had first death when his leg went wonky? First meeting with Methos having managed to get himself addmitted to House's care? Gen or Slash or I flip a coin?

If you don't state preferences you're likely to end up with something really odd. I can come up some left field stuff. And I don't have any dislikes memorized for you, so if you have anything you won't read tell me so that I don't inadvertently write you something you can't read.

Oh I like odd. The only stuff I wont read is under age stuff. I'm big on slash but if you think up a cool bit of Gen drama or comedy with those two I'd read it. I think you write kink damn well and since my motto is it's only kinky the first time you can go pretty far. :-) I guess I just picked those two 'cause I like the thought of them having a conversation. House vs. Just A Guy.

Oh I've always had an odd fondness for Joe/Methos stories.

I've got one and love it. But I read four to six books a week, so it made sense for me.

What do you want to know about it?

Actually I need to know a couple of things. The first is does using the web browser cost money? I read a clause in the online docs that says that for anything not the Kindle Store costs and I have a couple of RSS feeds that I couldn't get from Amazon.

The other thing is could I take my own stories with me in mobi format and note mistakes; and would I be able to see that file on my desktop reader for mobi files later? It would make editing so much easier.

Not that I won't end up with a Kindle anyway, but this way I'd know if could be more than just a great way to carry my books with me.

First, the web browser is experimental. As of now, it's still free, but they reserve the right to start charging in the future. It works best for sites that are set up for mobile use ( ... )

Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you. See that's all I needed to know, but Amazon's site was confusing on the subject of the broswer (I wouldn't mind paying, but I want to know upfront, you know?).

As long as I could see the file on the computer after highlighting things with the Kindle I'm a happy camper. It wasn't clear to me if the mobi file would retain the highlights or not.

Now I just have to figure out how to afford it. Ugh. My birthday is in April, but asking for it for that won't happen. My family would just look at me funny and ask me 'why do you need that?' as though that mattered. I'll end up having to save up which means it'll be midsummer before I can even order. :P Thank you again.

Would you like a fic written for you? I'm taking prompts. ;)

House and Wilson should play "doctor" with Chase *winkwinknudgenudge*

:) If I could write roleplay better, I would. Maybe that's the next thing to work on.

:) There are some really good ones.

Hmm. Okay. That'd be Frasier for you. I'll see what I can come up with.

I'm fond of Methos/Stargate stories. Also, a Pretender/Sentinel story could be interesting. I don't see Jim as being into pain, or even discipline, though. How about a House/Highlander where Wilson and/or Chase is the immortal?

I read this Methos/Jack fic that was never finished that I just love. Hmm. I've read one Pretender/Sentinel fic, but I didn't really like the plot. That'd be neat. Jim seems too stright-laced for that doesn't he? I see other things in him. Mostly sensation play ideas.

Oooh, I like that idea. House would drive them batty when he found out (regardless of which was the immortal).
