[By the time Raiden came back, a lot had happened, including Blacky's death. After trying to find out where he was, searching for New York but finding no sight of him anywhere, Lash had resigned to sending out a pulse in Raiden's codec every 10 minutes or so, and have the machine directly linked to her own phone to ring if there ever was an answer back.

And yeah that is a laser. You could active it by thrusting forward. You know when Adder asked me for them, the notion completely passed over my head! I mean even the wunderkind doesn't understand everything sometimes, especially that...stuff.
