Room 238 [Tuesday Morning]

John is not ready to wake up yet. Nope, not at all. So, he fakes sleep and cuddles against Aeryn for warmth because, dude, it's cold outisde. Thank goodness they'd made it to the bed last night.

Since he's not awake, nope not at all, he takes a mental checklist of yesterday's events:

- Angel got a dog. Angel then turned into a puddle of goo

Sean was awake. Dad wasn't awake which was hard to tell, since Dad didn't breathe or have a heartbeat. But his eyes were closed and he wasn't petting Sean, so odds were good that Dad was sleeping.

Other Guy, however, had just moved. This required further investigation.

Sean leapt off Dad's bed, leapt onto Other Guy's bed, and began to lick Other Guy on the ear. A lot.

At the tongue attack, John opens his eyes and stares up into puppy eyes. He squirms at the ear licking but laughs anyway.

"So, you are awake, huh? You got a radar in there?" John reaches up and starts scratching between Sean's ears. "Sleep good?"

Sean wuffed. He bent down on his two front paws, tail wagging, then leapt forward to lick John's face.

John laughs again and catches Sean so the bed doesn't jostle too much. He lets the dog lick his face because, well, he's just so cute.

Noticing the collar, he snags it between his hands and looks at it. "Hey! You got tags! Now you won't get lost."

Aeryn can hear voices and the sound of a morning puppy moving around before she really wakes up. And then she does, realizing that she's probably not going to get used to waking up with more than one person in the room. And a puppy.

Also, John's hands are really cold.

John, being the oblivious sort, keeps his cold hands tucked close and adds feet to the mix.

Aeryn lightly kicks him.

John laughs but presses closer. "You awake?"

"Hey, Aeryn," Angel said after John and Aeryn had had their snuggle time, "you're a girl."

He said that last part as though it explained absolutely everything he'd been thinking, and no further words needed be spoken.

"Um. Good of you to notice," she says and we're totally going to pretend there's already clothing for all this bit because zomg.

"You understand girl things," Angel continued, again as though this was obvious. Clothed, check. Totally not picturing anybody naked. Especially John.

Aeryn should probably be glad this is the first time she's had a conversation that started out like this. "Most of them. I'm sure there are some planetary differences... What are we talking about here?" Just remember what happened the last time there was kissage.
