Room 238 [Tuesday Morning]

John is not ready to wake up yet. Nope, not at all. So, he fakes sleep and cuddles against Aeryn for warmth because, dude, it's cold outisde. Thank goodness they'd made it to the bed last night.

Since he's not awake, nope not at all, he takes a mental checklist of yesterday's events:

- Angel got a dog. Angel then turned into a puddle of goo

Aeryn can hear voices and the sound of a morning puppy moving around before she really wakes up. And then she does, realizing that she's probably not going to get used to waking up with more than one person in the room. And a puppy.

Also, John's hands are really cold.

John, being the oblivious sort, keeps his cold hands tucked close and adds feet to the mix.

Aeryn lightly kicks him.

John laughs but presses closer. "You awake?"

"No," she lies.

"Why not?" He pretends to pout. "If you're not awake, you're talking and kicking in your sleep."

Still keeping her eyes closed, she smiles, "You do it."

"I do not," he counters. "You lie in your sleep too. Just for that," he starts to say and then slides one of his cold hands around her waist, under her shirt to rest on her stomach.

Aeryn squirms at that, because cold. "And we'd been doing so well, too," she says, looking back at him.

"We still are," he says and drops a kiss on her lips. "I'm just warming up."

"Sounds encouraging..." she says, and turns herself to face him.

He leans down again and kisses her. "Are you awake yet?"

"Will you keep doing that if I say yes?"

He kisses her again. "It's a surprise..."

She shifts a little closer to him and says, "I could be more awake."

He slips an arm behind her back and pulls her closer.

"Really? How can I help?"
