Several times over the past three or four weeks in the evening I will look down at my laptop sitting on my dining room table (as I have been using it) and will see a random ant on it, or right next to it on the table.

Today, I learned that reindeer eyes turn from brown to blue in the winter in order to see better.

My sister spent a few days at my place and helped out in the front patio clearing dead poppies and weeds.

So, after I was fully vaccinated, one of the first things I did was get my hair cut because it'd needed a cut before the pandemic started, so it'd been well over 1.5 years since it had been cut. My mother's sister, Barbara, passed away Friday morning.

She'd been in not-good health for several years now, and mostly bed-ridden for the past two or three years, but she passed away Friday morning, May 7, 2021. I believe she was 86, the same age as my father. She was a good Southern woman, who made excellent pan fried cornbread. She spent 40 ( Read more... )
