RIP Aunt Barbara
My mother's sister, Barbara, passed away Friday morning.
She'd been in not-good health for several years now, and mostly bed-ridden for the past two or three years, but she passed away Friday morning, May 7, 2021. I believe she was 86, the same age as my father. She was a good Southern woman, who made excellent pan fried cornbread. She spent 40 years writing for the Williams County Sun newspaper until she retired in the early 2000's.
There was a health scare with her mid-year last year, and my father decided he and my mother should visit, despite the pandemic. It ended up aunt Barbara didn't pass away then, but even though my parent's trip had several opportunities of infection, and so worried me tremendously, they did not get infected, and some parts of me are happy they were able to visit with my aunt.
