Present-day U.S. red landscaping rose cultivar?

Over the past decade or so, I've been noticing a particular red rose variety that seems to have become ubiquitous in institutional landscape planting, at least in southwestern Ohio (we're on the cusp of Climate Zones 5 and 6.) I think they're called Knock Out Roses.
