Learn-the-alphabet videos

In 1988, I was in kindergarten at Middle Smithfield Elementary School in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and the curriculum included videos to help kids learn the alphabet. Ooh, that could be them. I didn't realize the current Letter People had been owned and produced before, so maybe these original ones are the ones I'm remembering.

When I was in Kindegarten back in '89, I remember them, and thought they were "the letter people" but then your link was not what I remembered. But these I think are. wierd. I also went to Kindergarten in PA, Hummelstown (outside of Harrisburg).

Well, I guess I have to eat my words. I sent letters to the current principal and assistant principal of my elementary scohol, and got this back:
I had an opportunity to speak with a Kindergarten teacher regarding your inquiry. She recognized them as "Letter People". We do not have the videos any longer.
There is a web site; www.letterpeople.com and a distributor, Abrams and Company that we were able to locate for you.

I guess that's why your link looked familiar to me and the current set of Letter People didn't.
