On PBS in the 70s and 80s there were several shows, all similar to each other, that would have voice-over narration reading a section of a book while someone illustrated that scene. I feel like this is on the tip of my tongue - I was watching an episode of season 7, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic where Pinkie Pie investigates a theft (I think? I'm looking for a tv episode from probably around ten years ago. I think it was one of the CSIs, but I'm not positive. What I remember is that the case was a guy whose wife was kidnapped and they were trying to find her. Can anyone tell me who this actress is? She played Daisy Mae Grady in last night's episode of Castle, and I know I've seen her somewhere before. She's not listed on imdb, she's not listed in the episode credits, and no amount of Googling has turned up her name.
