Hi, this is a long shot.  I grew up living near the Canadian border in the late 70's/all of the 80's, and we had very few TV channels -- one was CTV/ATV and one was some variant of CBC.  Not sure which channel this ad was on, but my mom and I used to laugh at it, a little.  It was basically about how girls can grow up and do anything they want to
