Plot of recent show?

I'm probably wrong because I only caught the very end of an episode and I don't even watch the show but I think the situation was pretty similar - Bones ? :)

Yeah.. nevermind - I looked up the lead female character on Bones up real quick and apparently her father was cleared of all charges with her help. Or something. :)

That was one of the last things the show did excellently right before driving itself off a cliff in a flaming bus. She planted just enough reasonable doubt to stave off a conviction by convincing the jury that she had the means, motive, and opportunity to commit the murder.

The only thing I can think of is the episode of Gilmore Girls where Luke is trying to get custody of his daughter and needs Lorelei as a "character witness" and she's all, "I'm not going to do this because it's weird" and then she ends up doing it for him because she loves him and she's a good person.

No, sorry, but thanks for your response! I actually haven't seen much of the GG, but whenever I come across it on ABCFam in the afternoons I have to watch it. Even if the eps are wildly out of order, it's just sucks me in every time. :)
