I watched this movie in a history class in high school. It takes place in the 1700s or 1800s. The only scene I remember is when a man and his friends are escaping from a Native American village on horseback. This is one of those rare cases where the movie is waaaaaaaaaay better than the book. It doesn't hurt that the soundtrack was amazing, and Daniel Day Lewis is super hot.

SERIOUSLY. That movie is the reason I didn't have a boyfriend my freshman year in high school, because NO boy could compare to Hawkeye ::sigh::

AGREE. I loved the movie so much, I tried to read the book and found it really dry.
