I watched this movie in a history class in high school. It takes place in the 1700s or 1800s. The only scene I remember is when a man and his friends are escaping from a Native American village on horseback. The man turns around and shoots another man who is still back at the village, being burned on a stake (he shoots him so that he can die quickly instead of being burned). I watched it in 2001 or 2002, but it probably came out in the 90s.
