[In that same clinical tone she used to report on the Aztec incident:]On April 11th, my inmate, Amanda Young, attacked fellow inmate Mark Hoffman, presumably from behind. She was apprehended by Angelica Sexby in the inmate showers, whereupon her clothing was removed and Young relocated to level zero ( Read more... )

I asked Olivia and Sherlock to do some looking into where she was getting the weapons, Sherlock for observation and Olivia for forensics. This was when she had no warden.

Olivia currently has her former weapons, and Arthur kept a thorough list. I made a point to try and keep all the individuals disconnected and unaware of each other in the event that Amanda attempted to multiple person game and went searching for subjects. If you want to continue the investigation, that's what I initiated.

Both T'Pol and Neil Howie should have further information.

And I don't think it's your fault, Darlin'. With all these people on her, someone's gotta be helpin' her. We just gotta figure out who it is she's usin' as a resource. I was a bit distracted and shoulda come to you with this sooner.

I'm not here to play the Ballgame or Poker or watch television. I have one job and I failed at it yesterday, so -

[She cuts herself off abruptly.]

I'll talk to all of them. Thanks, Kay.

I think Saito should know whatever you find out. I doubt this Mad Magazine comic strip rivalry's gonna work to either of their rehabilitation. [He'd tell her not to worry about it so much, but work saves him from going crazy times like this and she probably wouldn't listen anyway. He knows he wouldn't.]

I'll keep in touch with him, too.

I will remain with Mr. Hoffman. I have no doubt he'll be after revenge when he awakes. It does appear to be a never-ending cycle where these two are concerned.

I really dropped the ball. I'm sorry.

I'm going to stay with her while she's in level zero.

They will manage these feats with or without our watchful eyes. Beyond being with them every second of the day and night, there is little we could have done. Do not blame yourself.

I have no idea where she got it. Knowing her, she could have had it for months.

The less pleasant idea is that a warden gave it to her, and I'm not ready to say that yet.

[Armand gets a half-smile.]

Thanks. I'll let you know if anything comes to mind.

I found it uncomfortable, but there was soon a major crisis in the rest of the ship.

Don't forget to ask.

I'm used to this kind of thing. I'm not going to let her sit down there and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Madam, unless you had been hounding your inmate's every last step, the likelihood of being present at the time of the attack was very small indeed.

If your inmate wishes to murder or do harm to Hoffman, then she will find a way no matter if she currently has a weapon or not. It goes the same for any inmate - any person, in point of fact. The best you can do is address what issues compel someone to hurt another.

If she wants to murder Hoffman, I shouldn't be making it easier for her by being off doing something I wasn't brought here to do. Eating and sleeping are one thing. Playing poker is another.

Aye, I know, madam. I just wish to warn you against putting too much blame on yourself for the things you cannot control, such as being in a different part of a ship when something involving your inmate occurs.

I noticed you mentioned tracking your inmate to Neil. I have done this myself with my own inmate, though it was to make chasing after her easier. It very well could assist you in your work.

We'll see how things go. Chasing after her doesn't seem to be much of an issue; she likes to gloat afterward.

The only real use would be to see where she goes every day.
