Made it home tot California on Sunday safe and sound with all the boats and car in one piece.  I hardly know what to say about the trip -- 10 days, 4099 miles, 9 national parks and monuments, countless mountain passes over 8000 feet, midwest rivers at flood stage  -- we live in an amazing country.

The grand road trip to move the car and boats to CA has officially begun! I am currently with mom in a motel in Princeton, IL, not bad for the first 3 days!

Day 1: 300 miles: Boston to Syracuse to visit Tyra who collected photographic evidence of my car + 3 boats!

I figured it was about time I wrote in this here live journal thing... I mean I've only been to asia twice, moved across the country and quit my job, what's there been to write about?

Anyhow, I am about to climb on a plane to head back to Boston to polish off my last 2 weeks with my company. Hope to catch you Bostonians while I am in town!

Mom and I took the Laser down to Woods Hole and went sailing today! We launched from the little boat ramp next to the aquarium in downtown Woods Hole and sailed around the harbor for a while. After 6 hours of driving broken up by a fitful night sleep in a Yurt and I found myself bouncing along seemingly endless miles of dirt roads with a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.
