it's my experience that when someone is doing something which he loves, she's beautiful. also that if I love someone, she's beautiful no matter where she is or what she's doing.
and I understand and mostly agree with about all you've said here, but I'll remind you that sometimes we make judgments about people based on expediency and it's the correct thing to do. Example: sitting in the car with the doors locked in the parking lot of a Greyhound station last spring. I didn't get out of the car and interview anyone...just made a call based on visible weaponry.

About care and beauty... I hear that a lot, but I tend not to be swayed towards beauty by caring. Dunno why - the same standards I use to define beauty tend to apply a great deal to people I care for - honest, open expression - but beauty isn't a given.
Admittedly, over time, people I care for tend to display what I consider to be standards of beauty - but that's a matter of comfort level and so forth. Not usually a matter of my perception changing.

I suppose if it were pulled off successfully, that might be beauty - but yeah, I think that falls under the category of OMGWTFBBQ, ala two lumps and the roombah.
