Jim happens to pass the door and stops to stare at the TV. In his world, holographic books are the standard for entertainment, but this thing isn't a book. It's too big and bulky for that. The images are also flat and unsettling.

The bugs are weird, too.

Eventually, after a few minutes trying to discern what was going on with the television, Jim looks up at the sphinx in askance.

Jim is about equally interesting to the book. She transfers her attention for the moment.

"You aren't cleaning now."

"For once," he mumbles. "Nope. Not cleaning now."

"Do frog's talk?" Rachel asked curiously, coming in soon enough to hear the statements, but not yet able to see the book. "And I'm pretty sure they eat bugs. Toad on the other hand...I think he eats whatever he wants?"

"I don't know. I have never heard them talking like people. Maybe it is a language we don't know.

"The pictures show that they're wearing clothing, so maybe they are a frog and a toad that are people."

Her tail twitches thoughtfully. "I wonder if they taste the same as frogs and toads that are not people."

"I think the clothing would make eating them hard..." Rachel noted after a moment thought. Then she finally saw the book! "You're reading!" she...should have known that.

"Maybe it's about a different world?"

"I am learning how to read so I can find a name," she explains.

"A different world... I think that is right. I have never seen small houses for frogs or toads."

It's the sort of thing one would notice.

He hasn't seen a sphinx before, let alone a wee one. Certainly not one reading a book.

The TV's interesting, too. He's wondering if he can change the channel without upsetting the creature on top of it.

"'I will tell you a story w- wa-hile we are wa... whiting,' said Frog."

Oh, person! Her head turns to see if he's going to do anything more interesting than the book.

"...have you seen the remote?"

Does talking count?

Talking definitely counts.

"I don't know what that is. I have seen many things. What does it look like?"
