I was pleasantly surprised by Paradise Lost. I was dreading a really slow-paced ep (like, even more than usual) about two guys stuck on a planet. I realized while watching Reckoning part 2 a few days ago that I had mistakenly used the name Siler in a fic while actually thinking of the character Davis, whose name was then checked for in an episode transcript. I had heard Stargate wasn’t the best thing around for good character development and I think the numerous fics where ‘any season’ seems good enough as a time setting should have tipped me off on the lack of strong characterization even when I was still giving the benefit of the doubt to the show ( Read more... )
