My brooch arrived yesterday and it was perfect! Have stuck it in my drawer along with my bracelet and earrings, so jewellery wise I am all sorted. Still, part of me hopes that a little box will turn up on the morning of the wedding with real pearls or even diamonds but I know Ben can't afford anything like that at the moment. Wow - we just had a pretty strong earthquake. It went on for about 30 seconds too. It's quite noticable when you're in a high-rise!

The ribbon and organza finally arrived on Saturday. The ribbon isn't a bad colour and cheap so I will probably just order some more once I've worked out how much I need - and if the woman isn't totally put off sending me stuff ( Read more... )

I was getting really cross with the Trade Me lady but then I had an e-mail to say she had been away, and I was right - that I had sent all the money to her right at the start, and so she had sent my ribbon to me. ...another thing that annoys me at the gym? Apart from socks :-) Quite often when I am there after the work, the schoolkids are having swimming lessons in the pool. And occasionally as they go in and out they will stop and weigh themselves on the weighing scales by the door. Weigh themselves. These are 8-12 years olds. I just want to scream " No!
