I was getting really cross with the Trade Me lady but then I had an e-mail to say she had been away, and I was right - that I had sent all the money to her right at the start, and so she had sent my ribbon to me. As I still have not received the organza/tulle she is going to send me another lot with the proviso that if I end up eventually with two lots, I will send one back to her - to which I happily agreed. So yay - once that arrives I can get on and sort out the church decorations and that will be a load off my mind. My other big craft projects are the favours - still need to decide whether to have gold or yellow cellophane. The gold is not as a transparent as the yellow and I thought might look a bit tacky? But have already printed out the little "thank you" tags to be attached with the dark red chiffon ribbon - of which I have plenty! (still deciding what to put IN the cellophane!) - and the table plan but I am putting that together with the help of www.confetti.co.uk's printable one so it should be fairly straightforward! I've designed our place cards and just need to buy paper for those.
I am also bidding on an antique marquasite (?) and pearl brooch on Trade Me as I wanted something to go on my bouquet and then thought that if I got something nice then I could give it to Mum afterwards.
Am still looking for the perfect pink wedding lipstick but think I might have found it in Stila lipcolour - Wendy. Unfortunately nowhere in NZ stocks Stila so I am going to ask Mum to get it for me for my birthday. Oh, and I had my make-up done with the Bobbi Brown woman from Texas and was pleased but thought I could probably do it just as well myself. Also, the lippie was a little bit too vampish for me.
Got my other wedding co-ordinator quote today - $600! Ah well, I’m sure it will all work out fine doing it myself.
And I think I’ve made a final decision on a veil too. I am thinking of a drop veil with a raw edge about fingertip length.
On the disappointing front, Ben finally got round to asking The Wellesley about flying the Welsh flag outside and it turns out that their second flagpole is broken. Poop. However, he has surprised me by suggesting we do have dance lessons after all AND contacting someone about them. It was slightly easier for him because one of his colleagues is getting married in December and she passed the details onto him. Apparently they were discussing stress in their office yesterday and F was sympathising with E that the wedding must be making her even more stressed and E pointed out Ben as well and F just laughed.
Ben's having the boys around for poker tomorrow night so I thought I was going to have to be stuck at home with them but then I was rescued! And am going round to Jo and Caroline's with Becky for a girlie night, eating crap and watching John Cusack. Soooo looking forward to it!
