- Yesterday I bought a bunch of lovely chocolate cotton yarn to make a sweater while I'm on vacation. By far the biggest project I will have tackled, but I think I'm ready! And god knows I'll have time to knit with no internet.

I got a fucking cold for my birthday. Damn my coworker for refusing to go home last week when he was sick! Damn him!!! -
The exhaustion continues...
But that's not so much jet lag and lack of sleep anymore as the incredible amount of ground I'm regularly covering by foot these days. Today I walked all over Prenzlauerberg, which is one of the former East German neighborhoods. I like it a lot--plenty of neat buildings, fun shops, and of course history. Well, I'm barely conscious (and struggling mightily with this damn German keyboard configuration), but I'm here and happy. The flights were fine, though the food sucked (cherries in rice with cabbage and potatoes?? what??), and I had no trouble getting a room. From March 18 through April 3, I will be on a much, much cooler continent than the one on which I currently reside*.
Right now the plan is mostly Berlin with maybe a weekend (plus?) in Dresden and probably a few days in Rome.
