Okay I kind of pigged out on movies this weekend. I'm still tired a lot, and relaxing with a movie and a glass of wine is a lot more appealing than, say, cleaning out my basement. Which I really need to do. But I digress.

I wouldn't be surprised one bit if 30 days of night wasn't a direct rip off of Frostbitten, just like Insomnia was ('cept it was written by the same guy). More and more Scandanavian films, as well as Italian, French, Russian, British movies are having the Hollywood makeover...I wish they would stop it already.

Have you thought about posting these reviews to IMDB? Think you should.

Doing my daily ego-search, I found this blog. And I can say that the idea of a town that has 30 days of night, comes from me, growing up in city above the arctic circle having 30 days of night! Just add vampires, and there you go. Is is as you say, a rare case of an idea popping up in two different places.
Anyways, glad you liked it! If you ever write a horror movie, heres a inside tip. If you have a talking dog in it, you quickly divide people into the groups of "loved it" and "I´d rather set fire to bumblebees and have them attack my eyes, then watch that film again!"

Take care.
