I haven't seen many people talking about their park weddings, so I hope there are some people. :x

I could have written this post! I live in the North Georgia mountains and have yet to find a place that we love AND can afford. We've just started looking at parks nearby. I'm also looking forward to the replies to this post.

I had a park wedding! Everyone had a wonderful time and we were so glad that we selected it. It fit our wedding atmosphere perfectly and I highly recommend it ( ... )

Hurray! Thanks so much for your comment - the advice about the bathrooms was something I hadn't even considered.

ETA: You had such a gorgeous wedding! I'm definitely bookmarking your post. Thanks again, seriously!

We were originally highly considering a public park for wedding and reception... then quick change of plans. We got married in the International Rose Test Garden in teh Shakespeare Garden. FWIW, the Shakespeare Garden was damn near devoid of roses. However, post ceremony, there was lots of pretty scenery for our guests to look at. Plus, it's a nice little rush when random people are watching your wedding and asking you to pose for pictures.

Eep! I think I'll be okay with park I'm looking at, as I have lots of family in the immediate area, but that's definitely a good tip! Thank you :D
