I bought some small picture frames to put on the guestbook table. One is to say "Please sign our guestbook" and the other one will say something to the effect of "We aren't allowed to have anyone throw anything so instead of confetti, please take a sparkler to wave around as we leave". Do you have a DJ or someone that can announce that you are leaving and they should make their way outside with the sparklers?

Or something corny, if you're into it "...a sparkler to light our way to the beginning of our new life."

I would have people who know what you're talking about with the sparklers (friends, all those younger folk who have seen that kind of exit before) take the lead with the sparklers. Once the older folk see what they're doing, they'll catch on pretty quickly.

I also don't think you have to say anything about not being able to have confetti. Keep it as simple as you can.

I'm planning to do the same thing but haven't really looked into how I want to do it I just found 2 links that I think are great that I think you'd enjoy as well:

Firstly, I am more than happy to take on the Sparkle-person role. I had an irrationa fear of sparklers as a kid (wierd huh?) but I am officially non-phobic now! Love em ( ... )

Thanks, as always, but unfortunately the person above got in first. Though 'you are my sparkler' cuts a close second! Emailed you that necklace to your uni address, let me know if you think its hideous ;)

Also, archway exit? Can't say I'm familiar with that one so probably not. AND, I like the amount of procrastination it took to come up with all those suggestions ;)
