Been under a lot of stress lately. Still trying to adjust to a lot of new changes in my life and I just feel like things are piling on top of me. I've been snapping a lot more lately and being rather snarky as a result. Just wish I could let things go easier. I try to joke / shrug it off sometimes, just doesn't always work. -
Androids are among us.
Apparently I have strong opinions. I'm not exactly sure when I suddenly became so opinionated about certain topics. I usually try to stick to the middle of the road and even then, the older I get the more difficult it is to do so. Take the recent Adobe vs. Apple crap. How is it that shows like "Dead like me," "Pushing Daisies" and others get cancelled? Someone in t.v. marketing is definitely asleep at the wheel. I realize these are old shows (Dead like me is 2003-2004), but I'm just now finding them on Hulu.com and it's such an awesome series. Pushing Daisies is more recent, but it was just as amusing and quirky -
Let's try this blogging thing...
Tonight is my 2nd presentation for a CFUG. I don't mind doing them at all, but it's clear to me that I need to start picking topics that aren't so broad. Case in point, "Introduction to [insert technology here]" - it's so top level that all you're really trying to do is get people to go, 'hrmmm... I should look into [technology].' Where to begin? Apparently I'm more active on Facebook / Twitter / Plurk / delicious than I am on livejournal. I guess I fail at deep thoughts compared to years ago. Deep thoughts requires... time? Recovering from an ear infection, the day after I'm done with the amoxicillin I come down with a pretty heavy cold. It was there in the background, waiting to pounce apparently. Feeling a little better today, just snotty. Life, as it stands, hinges around whether the kids are good at school or not - that will determine overall if I'm to have a ( Read more... ) -

I've decided that if I ever become a multi-millionaire, I'm going to create a contest similiar to X-Prize only for developing low-cost hearing aids. IMHO, there's no reason why hearing aids have to cost over a grand (per ear). -
