Tonight is my 2nd presentation for a CFUG. I don't mind doing them at all, but it's clear to me that I need to start picking topics that aren't so broad. Case in point, "Introduction to [insert technology here]" - it's so top level that all you're really trying to do is get people to go, 'hrmmm... I should look into [technology].' I have a newfound respect for people that have to design/develop presentations and can do it all in a coherent fashion.
In other news, I'm tired. I just got off a very high stress / visibility project. I'm in standby mode for them while they ramp up their clients. If there's a production issue, I drop what I'm doing and fix it. Yesterday, I found out that I caused a production issue because I didn't check something on Friday. I was able to fix it, just took me awhile because I didn't want to cause any further issues and I had to touch production data that I couldn't just truncate and start over.
Meh.
Life is going well. We went to Splash Lagoon in Erie this past weekend. Neat place. The place definitely had some flaws, but it was enjoyable and the kids loved it. Bumped into my cousin from my hometown, talk about small world. Wasn't expecting to see his family there at all. Since we've come back home, both kids are sick (between all the water and air conditioning, I can see why).
