I was kicked out of one of my classes.
For voicing my opinion. I am the ONLY democrat in the class. I am pretty much told that what my closed minded republican teacher says it factual when it is opinion, my opinion is ALWAYS wrong.

Please let me know if I am out of line, also read my paper, he refused to grade it because he didnt like it.

Sounds like a case for the ombudsman to me. Or at least the Dean of your college.

If that is in fact exactly how the conversation went....your teacher is completely out of line. He should never ever shown his opinion in class. What he said is in no way factual. Most elderly people who live in south Florida are in fact Democrats because they are mostly Jewish....also elderly tend to vote democrat because of issues like social security and health care. The elderly in south Florida are also snow birds...which ppl in the north tend to be more liberal. What your teacher said is the complete opposite of fact. The fact is the elderly in south Florida tend to be Liberal not Republican.

You could have perhaps....not shown your opionion as forcefully but in reality your teacher started personally attacking you which I find completely unproffesional. Where do you go to school?
I am not as liberal as you are and I can clearly see that this teacher is wrong.

didn't have time to read the paper but even if it was a horrible paper he still needs to grade it. what kind of moron is this guy???

I wrote down the conversation cause I was so pissed last night. I was writing it before he kicked me out.

This happens every class with me, everyone else is repub, and well, theres me, a Demo.

I had gotten use to it, but now I am mad.

I took this class at SJRCC in Ponte Vedra, becasue it was closer to me, I actually attend St. Leos in Orange Park.

I am obviously not catholic, but they pay half tuition, so....I go, cause I need all the money I can get to build my cabin

You need to file a complaint with the Dean of your college, even if he supposedly hates your guts, and I recommend contacting the NAACP as well. This man deserves to lose his job over these comments. I cannot even comprehend a professor like that. There is always someone somewhere that can help. You just have to find it and pursue it. Remember, you pay for college, and no one deserves that kind of indignant treatment. Do not let this die. If you let it die and go unnoticed, not only will you suffer but injustice will be allowed to live.

Out of curiosity, where did you go to school?

Not a bad idea. This is unacceptable behavior, and your grade shouldn't unfairly be hurt by this either!

Your professor was completely in the wrong. If he is going to add his personal opinions to his class, then he should also be willing to accept the opinions of others or atleast respect them and not personally attack them ( ... )

Hi, it is early, and my nephew was hospitolized last night, so if their are errors I am sorry. I wanted to say thank you for your input, it really helps to have someone actually say things about your paper, and it made me think about what I said, and helped me understand I I might need to reword or rething ideas. I wish I had you always to look at my papers and thank you ( ... )

Now I feel I should have been a teacher instead of a funeral director. My girl friend is an English Comp teacher, and she sometimes allows me to help her grade papers. So, I tend to read it very objectivly (although my opinions are surly expressed in my comments ( ... )
