Really, this is turning into the Battle of the Relief Pitchers.

Arnold would hate to bore Gaeta, so this time he starts out with a sublime curveball. It's a specialty of his.

Wait.
Wasn't the pitch supposed to end here and not over there?
(Gaeta has got to figure out how to throw something like that before the game's end.)
Swing and a miss for strike one, plus an impressed eyebrow raise in Arnold's direction.

Arnold just smirks and winds up for pitch number two, which is a tame-in-comparison fastball.

Whap! Grounder between first and second.
He drops the bat and dashes down the first base line. It's a close call, but his foot plants on the base just before Knox, ball in hand, follows suit.
Safely ensconced, he tips his hat to Arnold with another smirk.

The Paradoxes don't manage to take the lead, though, before the top of the eighth ends.
And the Engimas send their short stop, Stitch, to kick off the bottom.
