It's the top of the eighth -- the Engimas take the field and Paradoxes come to bat.

It's been a difficult game; new and a challenge.

This may be why Carlisle appears to be having such a good time with things.

"Any time, Arnold," Carlisle offers magnanimously.

"Bring it on, old man," Arnold calls in return as he sets himself up for the pitch. Straight stance, eyes on target, wind up...and let'er go. A fastball, aimed straight and true over the plate. Perfect for a great hit or a close miss.

He's having the time of his life, so it's all in good fun.

That'll be Edward snickering in the background.

The Paradoxes return to their positions in the infield and the outfield, and the Enigmas come to bat. It's the bottom of the eighth.

Stitch stalks up to the plate bristling. It's gone beyond baseball now; this is war!

Pro: this time, seeing the...whatever Stitch is isn't as big a shock as it was earlier in the game.

Con: While he's definitely not worn out yet, Gaeta is starting to feel it a little when he winds up and zings the pitch toward the plate.

There is a popping of knuckles as Stitch's grip on the bat's handle tightens.

This is followed by a very loud THWACK, a hail of wooden fragments and the ball careening towards the outer reaches of right field.
